Years ago anytime we traveled the highways in California in the spring, we could see mostly the golden poppies and the (purple) Lupine. Little yellow flowers on the roadsides we called "wet the beds" - don't know their real name. I do hope the rains there will cause them to grow again.
The Russian Grandmaster and 2008 Women's World Chess Champion is displaying irreverence. Were she also balancing a luscious Dr Pepper on her knee, she would be irresistible.

I'd like to see that. Makes me fired up for bluebonnets this year.
